Welcome to Our College of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Department of Pharmacy was established in the year 1973 at Government Medical College, Kottayam. D.Pharm was started in 1973. B.Pharm course was started in 2009, and was affiliated to M G University. The new building of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences was officially inaugurated in 2022 by Hon’ble Minister of Health, Smt. Veena George and Hon’ble Minister of Ports and Co-operation, Shri. V N Vasavan. This college is recognised by Pharmacy Council of India and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences from 2010 onwards. College of Pharmaceutical Science is having various departments like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacognosy. Additionally, this institution provides educational training in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics for professional need.

The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is located within the expansive campus of the Medical College in Gandhinagar. Positioned on the western side of the campus, the college sits along the main internal road network that connects various facilities within the complex. It is situated in close proximity to the Canteen Complex and residential hostels, providing convenient access to dining and accommodation facilities for students and faculty. The college occupies a strategic location that allows easy connectivity to the core medical facilities, including the Medical College Hospital blocks - both the OP (Out-Patient) and IP (In-Patient) sections - as well as the Medical College Main Block. This positioning facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration and provides pharmacy students with opportunities to engage with clinical environments. The campus itself is well-connected by an internal road system. The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences benefits from this connectivity, being accessible via the campus road network that links to the Dental College in the northern section, various hostels throughout the campus, and other academic and administrative buildings. The entire medical college complex is bordered by major perimeter roads that ensure accessibility from the surrounding areas, making the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences easily reachable for students, staff, and visitors to the campus.
