Student clubs and professional associations provide opportunities for leadership, teamwork, creativity, and professional engagement beyond classroom learning.

College Union

Union activities are organized regularly in the college. Chairman and members of college union are elected. Sports and Arts competitions are organized at various levels. Dr Benny KJ Assistant Professor is the Union staff advisor and Dr Jose Kurien ,Assistant professor is the treasurer of the college union.

National Service Scheme

NSS volunteers under the guidance of the programme officer, organize different programmes in the college such as yoga, campus beautification, quiz competition, debate, symposium etc. Dr. Cijo Issac , Assistant Professor is the programme officer of NSS

Overseas Alumni Chapter

The Overseas Alumni Chapter was established to strengthen connections with alumni working abroad and to promote professional collaboration and student mentorship.

Indian Pharmaceutical Association – Students Forum (IPA-SF)

IPA–SF is a national organization for pharmacy students in India that aims to unite students, foster professional development, and promote high ethical standards within the pharmacy profession.

The IPA–SF unit of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences actively participated in professional and awareness activities. As part of World Pharmacists Day on 24 September 2024, the students conducted a rally under the guidance of faculty members.

Student Support and Guidance Programme (SSGP)

The Student Support and Guidance Programme (SSGP) is implemented under KUHS for the health and well-being of first-year students. The programme provides academic, psychological, physical, and reproductive health support through trained faculty coordinators.

Committees and Associations

Standing committees are constituted in the college to ensure the effective functioning of academic, administrative, and co-curricular activities. The major committees functioning in the institution are as follows:

Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging is strictly prohibited within the campus. An Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted with the Principal as the Chairman. Professors and all Class Teachers serve as members of the committee.

In addition to faculty members, PTA representatives, NGO representatives, and a local police officer are included. An Anti-Ragging Squad is also active in the campus, comprising teachers, housekeepers, and student representatives.

Grievance Redressal Committee

The Grievance Redressal Committee aims to address student grievances related to academic and non-academic matters such as campus facilities, hostel, and food services.

The committee comprises designated faculty members, PTA representatives, and student representatives and is constituted for a period of one year.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent Teacher Association provides a common platform for parents and teachers to collaborate for the smooth functioning of the college.

The Principal serves as the Patron. The association includes a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Class Coordinators, Assistant Warden, and parent representatives from all batches.

The Executive Committee meets once every three months or as required, while the General Body Meeting is convened once a year.

Placement and Career Guidance Committee

The Placement and Career Guidance Committee supports students in identifying career opportunities in pharmacy and allied health sectors.

The committee also provides guidance for higher education, competitive examinations, and entrepreneurship in the pharmacy domain.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has been constituted as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and in compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The committee is committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive learning and working environment for students, faculty, and staff. All complaints are handled with confidentiality, fairness, and sensitivity.

The ICC also conducts awareness programs, workshops, and sensitization sessions to promote gender equality and mutual respect within the institution.
